On the morning of January 10, the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) solemnly held a Flag-Raising Ceremony and a Project Plaque Unveiling at its headquarters at No 1 Kham Thien Street, Hanoi. This significant event was organised to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam and to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Petrolimex’s establishment (January 12, 1956 – January 12, 2026).

The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Pham Van Thanh – member of the Executive Committee of the Government Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Chairman of the Board of Management; Mr. Luu Van Tuyen – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, member of the Board of Management, and General Director; and Mr. Dang Tran Hieu – Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee. Also in attendance were members of the Board of Management,  the Board of Directors, the Head of the Supervisory Board, the Chairman of the Vietnam Petroleum Trade Union, leaders of Management Board committees and functional departments, as well as representatives from member corporations such as Petrolimex Gas (PGC), Petrolimex Petrochemical (PLC), and Petrolimex Tanker (PGT).

The programme commenced with a solemn Flag-Raising Ceremony held in the courtyard of the Group’s headquarters. To the strains of the National Anthem, the National Flag, the Party Flag, and the Petrolimex Flag were hoisted, filling all Petrolimex employees with a profound sense of pride. The moment symbolised the spirit of solidarity, the pioneering will for innovation, and the resilient efforts of generations of staff and workers throughout 70 years of glorious construction and development.

Following the flag-raising, delegates performed the plaque-unveiling ceremony for the Group's headquarters — Petrolimex Tower. This officially marked the completion and commissioning of the project, a significant initiative dedicated to celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Group’s establishment.

Located at No 1 Kham Thien Street, Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam Ward, Hanoi, the Petrolimex Tower is a historical landmark deeply intertwined with the formation, innovation, and growth of Petrolimex. It stands as an architectural highlight of the city, with a design that crystallises the stature, intelligence, courage, and aspirations for sustainable development of the Group. The inauguration of this building not only provides a modern and professional working environment for the staff of the Group’s headquarters and its member corporations but also serves as a significant and meaningful milestone in Petrolimex’s history of development.

Amidst the joyful atmosphere as the entire Party and nation look forward to the 14th National Party Congress, the project plaque-unveiling ceremony coinciding with Petrolimex’s 70th anniversary serves as a recognition of the achievements of a glorious journey. At the same time, it affirms Petrolimex’s determination to realise its set development strategy, joining the country in advancing into a new era.
